Marvin is a veteran entrepreneur and former CEO who brings more than 30 years of executive and operational experience to the table. His background spans business development, turnarounds, capital formation, and M&A across multiple industries. Clients value his calm leadership, attention to detail, and deep understanding of business dynamics. Marvin leads transactions with a steady hand, always putting his clients’ goals first and helping them navigate complex negotiations with clarity and confidence. Marvin specializes in lower-middle-market companies and has extensive experience working with family-owned businesses and entrepreneur-led organizations preparing for exit or succession.

Mark Hockman
M&A Advisor | Business & CRE Intermediary | Managing Partner, Central Utah
Mark brings decades of executive, entrepreneurial, and operational experience to his clients. As the former owner of a large regional food manufacturing and distribution company, he led the business through multiple phases of growth before completing a successful exit at a premium multiple. Since that time, Mark has remained active as a private investor and advisor across real estate, construction, and starting and exiting small businesses. His industry experience spans manufacturing, construction, logistics, and service-based businesses. Mark’s approach combines financial discipline with practical insight, helping business owners maximize value and achieve clean, strategic exits.

Jonathan Hockman
M&A Advisor | Business & CRE Intermediary
Jonathan brings a rare blend of institutional finance, M&A expertise, and entrepreneurial insight to every deal. Before joining Murphy, he worked in investment banking and most recently ran the M&A lifecycle at a private-equity-backed healthcare services organization, where he helped deploy over $80 million across 22 acquisitions (36 locations) in under two years. His focus has included sponsor-backed roll-ups and strategic growth investments in healthcare, industrials, and tech. At Murphy, he advises both buyers and sellers across the full M&A lifecycle: valuation, readiness assessments, negotiation, diligence, and integration, while also leading growth consulting for clients preparing to scale or exit. Jonathan holds an MBA in Finance from SMU’s Cox School of Business and a B.B.A. in Economics from the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University.
